The 80's

In 1981, Fanavid inaugurates the new plant, to produce both flat and curved laminated glass for the automotive industry.

The company has continuously stood out as a pioneer in the industry.

Also in 1981, GM releases the first car using laminated windshields - Monza, with Fanavid's glass.

Fanavid becomes the first laminated glass manufacturer for Brazilian buses, in addition to supplying automotive glass to GM, Ford and Volkswagen.

In 1986, in the city of Guarulhos a 125.000m² land is purchased along side the major São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro highway.
